 These Children Matter...

My name is David Campbell Munar and this is my Story.

After visiting Kenya in Aprill 2022 and staying one month with the children at Casaupendo Orphanage, and the community at Maili Saba Village in Kenya, I lived and experienced the heartache and suffering of the children and community in Kenya. Most families survive with barely nothing. Most families struggle to only get a dollar that would cater for food for the day. It was evidenced that there is need for more to be done to change lives of this community. It is for this reason that I am committed to making Casaupendo orphanage survive and thrive.

The orphanage objectives are to foster mental, physical, & Spiritual wellbeing of children, giving tools to not just survive but thrive, continuing our mission to make the planet better in a small way, and to create an orphanage role model that is self reliant and minimally depended on outside resources.

Collectively, the directors of the orphanage have seen fit to focus on development of fish farm, chicken farm, goat farm, beehive, and vegetable garden. The orphanage today resides on its own property. Starting April 2022 when I visited the orphanage, I initiated the construction of Kitchen-dinning hall with a 15 by 15 food pantry for food storage, and the construction of a cooking stove that would prepare food for 35 people.

The children have built a traditional mud hut as temporary shelter that will eventually be translated into being a tool/equipment/maintenance house. The children are safe and secure in our humble hands. Our purpose is to continue our purpose to as many africanis as possible.

Once we finish developing the orphanage property, our next project will be telehealth. During my visit in Aprill 2022 I was able to save a life of an 80 year old woman that had a septic  wound. The lady survived for three months. Today as I type this update, my heart is broken because the lady  has died from a reinfection of her wound. Am so sad because I wasnt in Kenya during her second reinfection to help offer wound care to her. The death of grandma Mary has inspired my motivation to start telehealth service in Maili Saba village in Kenya, because if this lady would have received continuous support, she would not have died. We cannot continue without your support. To our generous donors, God has spoken to you and you have responded. We could not achieve what we have today without your support.
